Aboriginal Students' Centre

The University of Saskatchewan has developed initiatives that recognize the distinct needs of aboriginal students and address cultural differences that may be a barrier to success.
In conjunction with these initiatives the Aboriginal Student Centre’s mandate is to nurture Aboriginal student achievement by providing support services to all students who self-declare as being of Aboriginal ancestry. The ASC can assist with setting up cultural meeting places and ceremonies on campus (and off campus); can be a helpful resource for students, faculty and staff; or can provide a friendly, non-judgmental person for you to talk with and share your university experiences with.
The Edwards School of Business has the only dedicated space for Aboriginal students in business schools across Canada. Located on the main floor office wing, students can use Rawlco Resource Centre for studying, meeting with groups on projects, research resources, reading a daily newspaper subscription, or using one of the dedicated computers. The centre is equipped with computers, resource material, telephone, fridge, a lounge area, and the offices of the Director of Aboriginal Initiatives and the Rawlco Aboriginal Business Student Services Assistants. Aboriginal students and non-Aboriginal students alike are welcome to make use of the centre.
