Research

My current research focuses on the nature and role of earnings numbers reported in the financial markets, as well as the impact of regulation and corporate governance on the reported earnings.  I am also beginning a set of projects examining the role of accounting (in particular measures of profitability or loss) within the collective bargaining process, in particular within the professional sports environment.
