Saskatoon Processing
Company requires a purchasing agent in our purchasing and Consumable Parts
Department. Within established company policies and procedures, the
successful applicant will be responsible for the division approval and control
of the purchasing and consumable parts function, and for sourcing, negotiating
and purchasing a variety of equipment, supplies, materials and
services.
The ideal candidate
for this position will be someone with 5-6 years in a related manufacturing or
industrial position with knowledge of related equipment, materials and
supplies, knowledge of purchasing and inventory control systems in an
industrial/manufacturing application, and strong leadership, communication
(including written) and negotiation skills. Must have excellent computer
skills including experience with purchasing and inventory control systems, word
and spreadsheets. Ability to work as a team member, not only at the
division level but as an integral member of the corporate purchasing team.
Candidates must be enrolled in the PMAC Certified Professional Purchaser
(C.P.P.) accreditation program with completion of Level III. A competitive
